Paralympian Visit

On Monday 17th October we received a visit from England and Great Britain Blind Footballer Dan James. Dan, who is the only sighted member of the squad plays in goal and has been capped 85 times for his country and played at two Paralympic games.

Dan was in school to lead the pupils through a series of exercise challenges in order to raise money for new sports equipment. After the challenges Dan gave an assembly to the whole school where he told us all about his career and achievements.

We had a brilliant afternoon.

Long Sutton Cross Country Results

Below are the results from the Long Sutton Cross country. It was certainly a good event for the girls teams who took first place in the team competition in both the Year 3/4 and Year 5/6  races. The 3/4 boys finished a credible second in their race with the two Toms finishing 4th and 5th respectively.

Big mention to Polly and Emma from Year 6 who competed in their first ever Cross Country. They were two of the thirty nine strong squad that took part in the event.

Well done everyone.
